DESPERATE appeals are continuing at a Wee County foodbank supporting people at the end of the line.
The Gate Charity's crisis foodbank, temporarily based under 83 Main Street in Sauchie, is continuing with appeals for food and other necessities.
As reported in the Advertiser previously, the foodbank has seen referrals skyrocket with donations trailing off after a busy Christmas period.
Separately, the good cause is also reminding people not to donate items that are out of date.
An online appeal issued last week said: “Thank you to all the lovely people who have donated to us this week, we really appreciate the fab food you give to us.
“This donation is not so good, unfortunately.
“Of the 20kg donated, 17kg are out of date, with a new record for baked beans: 2006.”
Last week, the charity did issue a desperate call for baked beans to be donated.
This was followed by a call for deodorant, razors and shaving gel to go into packs for people in crisis.
