AN ALLOA care home has announced the appointment of their new full-time manager.

Shelley Watters will be taking over at Parklands Care Home, part of the Meallmore Ltd group, following on from 20 years experience in the care sector.

She will be overseeing the management of the care home, whilst ensuring that quality standards remain high following the changeover.

Shelley said: "I’m very excited to have taken on this role with Meallmore as I feel that the company values its employees and invests heavily in their career progression.

“Since I joined Parklands Care Home, everyone has been so welcoming and supportive – from my colleagues at the home right up to the senior management team and head office.

“At Parklands, we strive to provide high-quality, personalised care for each and every person who lives with us.

“I’m looking forward to getting to know our residents and their families better and building up these relationships.

“I’m also enthusiastic about empowering my team members to be the best they can be to ensure we provide excellent care in Alloa.”

Shelley started her career as a care assistant before becoming well established in the industry.

She assumes the role with seven years care home management experience under her belt and has also served as a freelance health care trainer, working with private companies to deliver first aid training.

Parklands is a purpose-built care home and provides nursing care for the elderly, specialising in services for people with dementia.
