A WOMAN was left “terrified” when a male neighbour banged on her door and started shouting at her.
Tullibody man James Sweeney appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, February 24, following the incident last winter.
He admitted shouting and swearing at his Main Street neighbour on November 2.
Depute fiscal Rachel Wallace said the woman had heard loud banging at her door.
When she opened it, Sweeney, 57, was standing there and began shouting at her: “Go on, get the f****** polis.”
“She was terrified and she closed the door then contacted the police,” added the depute.
When police found Sweeney he said: “Is this because I was shouting again? I’m sorry, I won’t do it again.”
Representing himself, Sweeney said: “The neighbours were messing me about at that time.”
Sheriff Neil Bowie deferred sentence until June 22 for Sweeney to be of good behaviour.
