A MAN bit his partner during a fight after drinking together in Tullibody.

Craig Mills, 29, currently living at Craigview Road, Ballater, appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on September 1, at Alloa Road, Tullibody, he engaged in a fight with his partner.

Depute fiscal Rachel Wallace said Mills and his partner have been in a relationship for five years.

They had been spending the evening together, drinking alcohol when Mills became argumentative.

The partner told Mills that if he “started his p*** again” he would leave.

Mills then lunged at him before being punched by his partner and put in a headlock. Mills then bit him on the arm.

When charged, Mills told police: “I only punched him because he punched me. I bit him because I was in a headlock.”

Mills had been jailed for a previous offence and defence solicitor Georgia Marshall said he was “keen not to go back”.

Sheriff Neil Bowie told Mills: “You’ve got into a pattern of behaviour and you need to address that.”

He imposed a community payback order with 120 hours of unpaid work, two years of supervision and a two-month non-harassment order
