THE winners of the annual Pocket Garden Design Competition have been announced, with a Wee County school pupil amongst the finalists.
Jackson Mackenzie, an S1 pupil at Clackmannanshire Schools' Support Service, won the eighth edition of the contest with his bus-shaped garden design.
His garden touched on his love for buses and will include a bug hotel, bird feeders, wild flowers and bulbs.
Organised by Keep Scotland Beautiful, the competition aims to showcase school pupil's imaginations and promote sustainability through their designs.
Eve Keepax, education and learning officer at Keep Scotland Beautiful, said: "Pocket Garden is uplifting.
"This year's new theme of A Garden of Celebration has opened the door to an outpouring of ideas of what children want to celebrate and what they value.
"It is a reminder in difficult times that we still have many reasons to celebrate.
WINNER: Jackson Mackenzie's bus-shaped garden design was one of the competition winners.
"It's even better when the way that the Pocket Gardens are created will be helpful for local wildlife and provide a bite to eat for people too!
"Well done to everyone that entered the competition, and we hope that all schools decide to bring their designs to life.
"I'm already looking forward to seeing the transformations from design to real garden."
Almost 200 entrants were submitted this year from a total of 28 local authority areas in Scotland.
The 42 winning designs have been asked to work on making their design a reality before filming it and submitting it to an online interactive showcase.
This showcase will be made available to the public in June.
