NHS Forth Valley has provided an update on opening hours for pharmacies in the Wee County over the forthcoming public holidays.

The Easter weekend will commence with Good Friday on April 6 and carry through to Easter Monday on April 10.

On Friday, April 6, every pharmacy within Clackmannanshire will be open to their normal hours.

This includes both Boots in Alloa and Tullibody, both Well Pharmacies in Alloa and Tillicoultry, the two Lloyds in Alloa and Dollar and the three Holm Pharm branches – two in Alva and one in Menstrie.

Clackmannan’s Davidsons Chemists, Lindsay & Gilmour Pharmacy in Sauchie and The Central Pharmacy in Tullibody will also be open normal hours on Good Friday.

Heading into Easter Sunday, only Davidson’s Chemists will be open between the hours of 1pm-2pm.

On Easter Monday, Lindsay and Gilmour and The Central Pharmacy will both be open from 9am-6pm.

The month after will see the May Day bank holiday on May 1, whilst May 8 is the designated date for the coronation of King Charles III.

All three Holm Pharmacy shops will be open on May 1 and May 8 – Alva branches will initially open from 9am-1pm with a lunch break, reopening at 2pm-5.30pm for West Johnstone Street and 2.15pm-5.45-pm for Stirling Street. Holm in Menstrie will be open from 9am-5pm throughout.

Both Well pharmacies in Alloa and Tillicoultry will be open from 9am-5.30pm/5.45pm on May 1. Boots in Alloa will also be open from 9pm-1pm. Lindsay and Gilmour and The Central Pharmacy are open from 9am-6pm.

Lastly, on May 8, The Central Pharmacy is open from 9am-6pm.
