A STALKER who continued to pester an Alloa woman despite being told to stop has been ordered to pay his victim £1,000 compensation.

It had been made clear to 26-year-old Bartosz Jusczak that the woman was not interested in him.

However, he started to stalk the Wee County woman over a period of almost three months.

Jusczak, of Chapman Street, Glasgow, appeared in the dock at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, March 23.

He admitted that between October 1, 2022, and December 21, 2022, at Church Street, Alloa, he engaged in a course of conduct which caused fear or alarm to the woman.

He repeatedly acted in a threatening and aggressive manner, repeatedly sent text messages and emails, repeatedly phoned her, attended at her home uninvited and sent Facebook messages and repeatedly made threats to self-harm if she did not talk to him.

Defence solicitor Ross McGowan said his client works as a software engineer.

"He should have accepted that he had been rebuffed by her," he added.

Sheriff Neil Bowie said Jusczak had to "get a grip on reality".

He went on: "This would have had a significant effect on the young woman concerned.

"She was not interested in your advances and that was made clear to you.

The sheriff imposed a community payback order with 18 months of supervision and £1,000 compensation to the victim.

He also imposed a two-year non-harassment order.
