A SAUCHIE man with an extensive criminal record has been jailed for his latest catalogue of offending including assault and shoplifting.

David Cameron, 44, of Lochbrae, appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, March 23, by video-link from prison to be sentenced for a string of convictions.

He breached bail conditions on January 27, at Acer Crescent, Tullibody, when he contacted his former partner and entered a house there.

On January 19, at the Co-op store, Stirling Street, Alva, he stole a quantity of household cleaning products.

Before that, on January 6, at Scotmid, Alloa Road, Tullibody, he stole food items, cleaning products and drinks.

Last year, on November 11, last year at Tesco, Auld Brig Road, Alloa, he stole a quantity of children's toys, valued at £567.

And on October 15, last year, at Acer Crescent, he assaulted his partner by kicking and punching her on the head and body to her injury.

He also resisted two police constables by repeatedly struggling with them.

At Falkirk Police Station he repeatedly made threats of violence, threatened to spit at police officers and made threats of violence against his partner.

Sheriff Neil Bowie commented: "There are a plethora of matters before the court."

He jailed Cameron for 19 months backdated to January 30 and put him on a non-harassment order for 12 months.

Cameron had only been released from prison a short time before his offending started again.

In 2017, he was jailed for four years for stabbing a man in Alva.
