A PARTY hostess was grabbed by the hair after a row with one of her guests in Tillicoultry.

The culprit was 32-year-old Michelle Allen, of Craighorn Road, Alva, who appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday, March 30.

She admitted that on June 2, last year, at Stoneyacre, Tillicoultry, she assaulted a female by grabbing her by the hair to her injury.

Depute fiscal Rachel Wallace said the woman who was assaulted had invited friends to her home for a social evening.

Those present were having a drink and during the course of the evening, Allen began arguing with the hostess.

This led to a physical altercation with Allen grabbing the woman and "pulling a small chunk of hair out", added the depute.

They were separated and the police were called.

Sheriff Neil Bowie imposed a community payback order with 18 months of supervision and alcohol treatment.

He noted Allen had previous convictions for assault and warned her to comply with the court order or another sentence would be imposed
