FAMILIES flocked to Alloa town centre to bask in the Good Friday sun on market day.

There was plenty of fun for young people as Alloa First, the town's business improvement district (BID) organisation, organised a special Easter Market.

On hand was a balloon modeller, magician, face painting, some live music and there was a special visit from the Easter bunny to delight young people.

It was the perfect day for the event with the weather warming and the sun shining down on families all afternoon.

There were plenty of stalls offering goods and services as well with shoppers given the chance to browse gift ideas.

The event was a perfect start to the long weekend, with stalls up from 10am to 3pm and the Easter bunny making an appearance from 12noon on the day.

In a social media post, Diane Brown at Alloa First said: “Thank you to everyone who came along to the Alloa First Friday Market today.

“It was lovely to see the children with their Easter bonnets, beautifully painted faces and balloons.

“What made it even better was the sun shone all afternoon."

Families out on the day also had the chance to have a go at Alloa Hub's Easter Egg Trail as well.

The trail is still live with everyone who completes it by April 16 set to receive an Easter treat.

Maps are available from the hub, the Ladybird Tea Room and D'nisi.
