A TULLIBODY man kicked at his former partner's door when intoxicated through drink and drugs.

Alexander Christie admitted that on February 26, at North Street, Alloa, he shouted, swore, demanded entry to the home of his former partner and repeatedly kicked a door.

As a result, the 27-year-old appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, April 20, for sentencing.

Christie had been out all day, watching football and drinking alcohol before turning up at his partner's door at 11.20pm, the court was told.

The accused, of Old School Court, was shouting, banging on the door and then kicked the door, which resulted in the woman calling the police.

Defence solicitor Charlotte Watt said her client felt "genuine shock and embarrassment" over his behaviour.

She added: "He's extremely apologetic. He had taken far too much alcohol."

"And drugs," Sheriff Neil Bowie noted.

The sheriff then imposed a community payback order with nine months of supervision and 100 hours of unpaid work.
