A MAN caused a disturbance in a Tillicoultry pub then made a racist comment to a police officer.
James Cousins, formerly of Ochil Street, Tillicoultry, now living in Caistor, Lincolnshire, appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, April 20.
The 35-year-old admitted that on November 29, at the Woolpack Inn, Glassford Square, Tillicoultry, he repeatedly shouted, swore, made threats of violence, behaved in an aggressive manner and repeatedly struck a door with his hand.
The same day at Lower Mill Street, Tillicoultry, he made racially offensive remarks to a police officer.
Sheriff Neil Bowie noted that Cousins is subject to a suspended sentence from an English court which will be informed of this latest offence.
The sheriff imposed a community payback order with one year of supervision and 130 hours of unpaid work.
