A TULLIBODY man started overturning furniture and kitchen items in his home after a row with his partner.

Barry Ross, 31, of Carseview, appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, April 20.

He admitted that on August 23, at his home, he shouted, swore and acted aggressively.

He also damaged property by throwing or pulling over numerous kitchen white goods and furniture.

The court was told Ross became irate during an argument and started pulling items over including a tumble drier and a freezer.

Defence solicitor Michael Lowrie said his client had consumed alcohol and "street Valium".

He added: "He acted quite disgracefully and has apologised to her."

Sheriff Neil Bowie said it was concerning that this was a second domestic offence against the same woman.

He told Ross: "I'm told that you quite rightly recognise that your behaviour was disgraceful."

The sheriff imposed a community payback order with 30 months of supervision, participation in the Caledonian Men's Programme for domestic offenders and 100 hours of unpaid work.
