THE Maggie’s Centre has announced they will be bringing their popular fundraiser walk back next month.
Meander to Maggie’s is a 10k walk from the Kelpies all the way to the Maggie’s Centre on the grounds of NHS Forth Valley Hospital.
Cristina Pouso, centre fundraising manager, said: “We are very excited to bring back our Meander to Maggie’s.
“It’s a magnificent meander from the Kelpies all the way to the Maggie’s Centre.
“We are so lucky to have a free BBQ again from our friends at the Rapid Relief Team, a free bar and a DJ providing the tunes.”
Maggie’s opened their first centre in 1996, devoted to providing support to people with cancer and their loved ones.
The charity relies almost entirely on voluntary donations and organises events such as the Meander to Maggie’s to fund the work they do.
The walk has an entry fee of £20 and those interested in taking part can sign up on Eventbrite by searching Meander to Maggie’s Forth Valley.
Everyone taking part will receive a Maggie’s T-shirt and are encouraged to bring their dogs.
