KIDS across the Wee County have the chance to be crowned the prestigious title of ‘King Pin’ in a nationwide design competition.

Hollywood Bowl is looking for the best royal-themed designed bowling pin designed by children aged 6-12 to celebrate the coronation of the King this weekend.

The competition opened on Friday, April 28 and the winner will see their design imprinted onto a life-size bowling pin to be kept in their local centre.

The winner will also win an annual family bowling pass, whilst two runners up will win a free family day pass.

Darryl Lewis, chief operating officer at Hollywood Bowl, said: “We’re so thrilled to be launching this exciting competition that invites our young bowling fans to celebrate the Coronation in a unique way and have creative fun.

“This is an opportunity to have your very own royally themed pin created and displayed at your local Hollywood Bowl centre, as an emblem that honours the King’s Coronation.

“We can’t wait to be bowled over by all the kids strike-ing designs!”

A design template will be available to download from Hollywood Bowl’s official website for parents to print off at home and submit to enter the competition either in person or online at Hollywoodbowl.co.uk/king-pin.

Entrants must be between 6 and 12 years old and must take their design into their local Hollywood Bowl centre or by uploading it to social media and tagging Hollywood Bowl’s channels.
