A CLACKMANNAN man had a knife in his possession at a McDonald's restaurant.

He was then taken to a police station to be searched and was found to have cocaine.

George Dysart, 21, of Erskine Place, appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, May 4.

He admitted that on July 29, at McDonald's restaurant, Clackmannan Road, Alloa, he was unlawfully in possession of a knife.

Then at Falkirk police station he was found to be in possession of a controlled drug.

Depute fiscal Rachel Wallace said Dysart told police officers he had the knife because he had been fishing.

"He was then taken to Falkirk police station for a full search and was found to have white powder which turned out to be cocaine," she added.

The drugs were valued at around £480.

Sheriff Neil Bowie imposed a community payback order with 225 hours of unpaid work and one year of supervision.
