TWO men have appeared on court following incidents at an Alloa nightclub.

In the dock at Alloa Sheriff Court were Fraser Macdonald and Kieran Preston.

Macdonald, 26, of Hillcrest Drive, Alloa admitted that on November 12, at Chalmers nightclub, Bank Street, he assaulted a man by headbutting him to his injury.

Depute fiscal Rachel Wallace said Macdonald was asked to leave by a staff member but refused and then headbutted the man, who sustained a cut lip.

Defence solicitor Charlotte Watt said her client was intoxicated at the time and now expressed "significant remorse" for his actions.

Sheriff Neil Bowie imposed a community payback order with 270 hours of unpaid work.

Co-accused Kieran Preston, 26, of Thistle Street, Alloa, admitted two offences he committed on the same night at the club.

He assaulted a man by throwing a metal can which struck him on the head to his injury.

He also damaged electrical equipment by throwing a metal can.

Sentence was deferred on Preston for reports until June 8.
