A TEENAGER was twice caught drug driving in the Alloa area.
During one of the incidents 19-year-old Dylan Allan collided with another vehicle.
Allan, of Sir George Bruce Road, Oakley, appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, May 4.
He admitted that on January 26, last year, at Whins Road, Alloa, he drove a van when over the limit for cannabis.
His reading was 6.9 microgrammes of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) per litre of blood, the limit being 2 microgrammes.
He also drove carelessly in Whins Road and collided with another vehicle.
On December 8, 2021, on the A907, he drove at high speeds, failed to maintain a safe distance and drove without insurance.
He was also over the limit for cannabis.
On this occasion, his reading was 7 microgrammes of THC per litre of blood, the limit being 2 microgrammes.
Sheriff Neil Bowie imposed a restriction of liberty order for 90 days.
He also imposed a community payback order with 300 hours of unpaid work and 12 months of supervision.
Allan was banned from driving for four years.
