A YOUNG lad from Sauchie is looking to inspire people of all ages to participate in an upcoming hill challenge.

Logan Gould, 8, has already raised £100 for the Dogs Trust as he gears up from the Nebit Hill Challenge.

The event will be hosted by the Rotary Club of Alloa on Sunday, June 18, and Logan is encouraging everyone to take part.

He will be one of those taking on the challenge to ascend 250 metres to the Beacon on the Nebit, covering a round trip of about 8km on the day.

The challenge will allow people to raise funds for charitable causes close to their hearts and for those looking to take it further, there will be the option to continue to the Nebit summit on the day, covering a total of 10km.

The walk will be stewarded by Rotarians throughout, ensuring no one gets lost, while hardy volunteers from Ochils Mountain Rescue Team will be nearby in case of emergencies.

Alan Morgan, president at the Rotary Club of Alloa, said: "We are thrilled to have Logan participate in the Nebit Hill Challenge.

"His determination to raise funds for a worthy cause is commendable and inspiring.

"We hope his example will encourage people of all ages to take part in the challenge and support our charitable cause."

Following the hill walk, participants will be treated to a BBQ and refreshments at Hillfoots Rugby Club.
