AN ALLOA man has been given a jail term for ignoring bail conditions preventing him from meeting up with his partner.

Kevin Boon, 31, of Craighorn Road, appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court by video link from prison.

He admitted that on April 14 at Craighorn Road, he breached bail conditions when he contacted and approached his partner.

The conditions had been imposed on April 6.

Depute fiscal Rachel Wallace said police had attended the woman's house and Boon was found hiding under a bed.

Defence solicitor Corrine Wilson said: "He tells me there was confusion on his part about the bail order."

Sheriff Neil Bowie commented: "He was hiding under a bed so he couldn't have been all that confused. He's also got a lot of previous convictions for doing this sort of thing."

He jailed Boon for 80 days backdated to April 14.
