A TULLIBODY drug dealer was caught red-handed after police had stopped his car.
Kyran Crawford, 25, of Carseview, appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, May 18.
He previously admitted that on March 3, at The Tannery, Tullibody, he was concerned in the supply of a controlled drug, cocaine.
Depute fiscal Bernadette Cuthbertson said Crawford's car had been stopped by police officers and when they spoke to him they could smell cannabis from inside the vehicle.
He was the only person in the car and officers carried out a search, finding £3780 in cash and cocaine with an estimated street value of £3030.
The court was told Crawford claimed the cash in the vehicle had been given to him by a man to buy building supplies, even though he was not working at the time.
Sheriff Neil Bowie imposed a community payback order with two years of supervision, 300 hours of unpaid work and a six-month restriction of liberty order.
