LABOUR’S Kenny Earle has officially been replaced as party opposition leader in Clackmannanshire.
The full council approved the leadership change at a meeting last Thursday, May 18.
Cllr Janine Rennie will replace Cllr Earle as both opposition leader and as chair for the Audit and Scrutiny Committee.
Cllr Earle stepped down from office at the Labour group annual general meeting in April.
He previously announced that he intends to retire at the end of the current council term, after five terms, and 24 years, as a councillor.
Deputy labour leader Cllr Kathleen Martin also stepped back from her role with Cllr Mark McLuckie appointed in her place.
