A HILLFOOTS park is set to be buzzing with life as a fun day goes ahead this weekend.

Alva Fun Day, organised by the town's community council, is set to take place on Saturday, May 27, at the Cochrane Park.

There will be free entry to the park for families with the event starting at 12noon.

Before then, a colourful parade will leave from Alva Baptist Church at 11.45am to arrive at the park in time.

A Super Mario Bros theme has been set for the event, which will end at 4pm on the day.

At the park, there will be bouncy castles, a roller coaster simulator, children's rides, a slide, the Tartan Juggler, face painters, Owl Magic, refreshments and ice cream and more.

Stalls have all been sold out and there will also be a showcase of classic cars, motorbikes, a fire engine and representatives from Ochils Mountain Rescue.

Entry is free, people will have to pay for individual attractions they choose to use.
