A MARKET is set to return to the streets of Alloa this week.

Alloa First Friday Market will go ahead on June 2 with traders, businesses and charities setting stalls up on the High Street.

Volunteers from Alloa in Bloom, Forth Valley Men's Shed and the Stirling and Ochils Macmillan fundraising committee will be among those attending.

The Crochet Hen, Recycling Timber, Almur Art and Design, Teeny Tartans, geneaologist Find Scottish Roots, jewellers Three Gem Sisters and much more will also be waiting for visitors.

Each month, the market seeks to generate extra footfall in the town and is a wheel-, pushchair, pram, bike, child and pet friendly environment.

Stallholders will be on the High Street between 10am and 3pm and the road will be closed to all but essential and emergency traffic.

Market organisers said: “Please come along, have a browse, chat to the traders, enjoy the market and support small businesses at the market and in the town.”
