THERE will be plenty of fun for all ages when gala day returns to a Hillfoots town this June.

Organisers are hoping for a day of sunshine for this year's Tillicoultry Gala, set to take place on Sunday, June 18.

Young and old from across the Wee County are being invited along for a day of fun at the Public Park in town.

There will be races and games, inflatables, food and refreshments, bands and much more.

Tillicoultry, Coalsnaughton and Devonside Community Council's events committee has been hard at work to ensure the day will be a success with organisers hoping to put on a truly intergenerational event.

The community council's Ronnie Beveridge told the Advertiser: “We'll put on a while variety of activities, especially for the children and the younger ones, we are looking forward to having everybody there.

“It's very much an intergenerational event – something for everybody, whatever their background.”
