A TILLICOULTRY man with a "shocking record for violence" has been jailed for threatening police officers.
John McGill, 30, of Ramsay Terrace, appeared from custody at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, May 25.
He admitted that on May 24, at High Street, Tillicoultry and in a police vehicle, he acted aggressively and repeatedly made threats of violence towards two police officers.
Depute fiscal Rachel Wallace said police officers had gone to execute an outstanding warrant for McGill's arrest.
He was put in handcuffs and became aggressive threatening to headbutt the officers several times.
He also threatened violence when they arrived at the police station.
Sheriff Neil Bowie told McGill: "You have a shocking record for violence and disorder."
He jailed him for six months.
