CARE home residents in the Wee County enjoyed a range of activities as establishments opened their doors to the community.

Marchglen and Beechwood Park opened their doors during the annual Care Home Open Week, held from June 26 to July 2.

Residents and colleagues at Marchglen Care Home hosted a coffee morning and were joined by family, friends and the local community and provided with coffee and hot chocolate and homemade cakes prepared by chef Lorraine.

Beechwood Park welcomed Provost Donald Balsillie to cut the ribbon on Care Home Open Week while residents also enjoyed one of their regular trips on trishaws.

Anthony Ryan, home manager at Beechwood Park, said: “We were thrilled to open our community to the public and showcase our unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care and creating a fulfilling and rewarding work environment."

Both homes are run by Aria Care.
