FOURS BRONZE: John Bernard, Robert Allan, Mark McCallum and Derek Wallace earned bronze at the national competition
A TEAM of four bowlers have brought silverware back to the Wee County following a national competition last week.
The fours team of John Bernard, Robert Allan, Mark McCallum and Derek Wallace earned bronze at the 2023 Bowls Scotland National Championships.
Held at Northfield in Ayr, the quartet made it to the competition after qualifying at club and later at district level before making it to the top 32 in Scotland.
Bowlers in Clackmannan were delighted with the result and were also supporting Callan Wallace and Logan Inglis who were joined by Daniel Kirk from Alloa East End Bowling Club who were taking part in the Youth Triples.
The combined triples team done well, finishing fifth.
