KIDS across Clacks were treated to a fantastic festival of fun, the last big party before schools resume this month.

Held at Tillicoultry PS over the weekend, more than 120 kids got a full day of entertainment provided for them.

The weather held up nicely for the majority of the day, allowing the kids a full day of fun in the sun.

The festival of fun was organised by the Ochils Youth Community Improvement, who provided food and drink for the kids throughout the day for free.

The OYCI set up plenty of inflatables, face painting studios, archery sessions and more for more than 100 kids.

Lisa Keddie, development officer for OYCI, said: "This was our third year holding the Festival of Fun and it went very smoothly.

"We had partner organisations with us for the first time this year – so we had Active Clacks, The Wee County Archers and the Conservation Volunteers who held stalls.

"This was a bit different for us but it was great to have presence from other individuals and organisations.

"We had a visit from Colin Bruce, the council's education officer which was nice. We had 120 kids in the end and we has good feedback across the board from parents and kids.

"It could not have gone any better to be honest."

The OYCI organise various events for kids throughout the year and are looking for new staff to join their team.

The event was manned by a team of youth workers and a group of volunteers, who worked tirelessly to set up and run the event.
