CLACKS school pupils can now benefit from an extension to a bursary from Fettes College, which will see them provided with top class education.
The Kick-start bursary, initially only available to two pupils from five Edinburgh state primary schools, has been extended to include children from all across Scotland.
This will allow 11-year-olds from the Wee County to apply for the bursary, which provides fully funded education at Fettes College.
Charlie Minogue, headmaster at Fettes, said: “Fettes College was founded in 1870 through the philanthropy of Sir William Fettes and our philanthropic mission is to help bright young students, regardless of their circumstances, gain access to a Fettes education so they can have every opportunity to make the most of their talents.
“Our students aim high, and giving back to the community is a really important part of our ethos.”
To be eligible, applicants must receive free school meals or be in a low-income household. Successful applicants will join Fettes’ Prep School for their first two years.
Applications are now open and close on January 15, 2024. Apply via fettes.com/kick-start-bursary.
