A BUSINESS leader in the Wee County has reiterated its commitment to green policies with the installation of solar panels across five Forth Valley sites.

Ceteris has invested £160k in the panels at four centres in Alloa, along with one in Stirling, and hopes other businesses will follow suit.

These solar panel installations will save an estimated annual CO2 reduction of 34 tonnes, the equivalent of driving 197,100 miles in a petrol vehicle or charging a smartphone over 4.1 million times.

The solar panels have been installed at four key sites: the Alloa e-Centre, Forrester Lodge, Hilton House and Alloa Business Centre, with the fifth installation placed at Springfield House in Stirling.

Josie Saunders, CEO of Ceteris, said: “Our investment in solar panels across our Alloa and Stirling sites underscores our dedication to environmental responsibility and sustainability.

“By embracing renewable energy and significantly reducing our carbon emissions, Ceteris is not only making a difference within its own operations but also setting a precedent for other organisations to follow suit.

“As the world continues to prioritise sustainability, we want to show how a commitment to the planet can also be a driving force behind successful business operations.”

Ceteris hopes that by harnessing the power of the sun, it will be one step closer to achieving its goal of being net zero by 2045.

Alongside the solar panel project, Ceteris has set up electric vehicle charging points in car parks at numerous sites and is in the process of replacing old, inefficient heating systems with modern, energy-efficient electric heating.

This all forms part of their new corporate strategy, titled Being Good for Business and Good for the Planet.
