MAGGIE’S cancer charity will be hosting its annual Elf Family Fun Run event at the start of next month.

The fun run invites families to dress up as elves and walk, run, skip or cartwheel around a circular route of 1.5 miles through Larbert Woods.

The annual event will be held by Maggie’s on December 3 and will be returning for its fifth year since it started in 2018.

Carrigan Kerr, centre fundraising organiser at Maggie’s Forth Valley, said: “We are super excited to share our popular Elf Family Fun Run is back.

“This event is a popular family activity which kick starts the festive season. If you love all things festive, grab your elf costume and sign up now as this is the event for you.”

The event kicks off at the Maggie’s Forth Valley centre. Organisers stress that the event can be completed in any way - walk, run or skip – so long as entrants are dressed as elves.

The route will take participants through Larbert woods over the course of 1.5 miles on a loop leading back to the Maggie’s centre.

There will be a special visitor on the day to greet kids, refreshments and a variety of stalls for families to begin their Christmas shopping.

The event is free to register, however, organisers urge people to try to raise a minimum of £50 per person or £100 per family in fundraising.
