After three years of dating, Scott and Betty married in St Mungo's Parish Church, Alloa, on October 11, 1958.
Scott and Betty went on to have four children; Scott, John, Edwin, and Elizabeth. They also have six grandsons, one granddaughter and two great-granddaughters; Ian, Ryan, Lyle, Aidan, Arran, Ryan, Laura, Freya, and Sienna. They are preparing to welcome their third great-granddaughter later this year.
