THE junction three slip road at Bowtrees on the A876 will be closed overnight for coring investigation works.
Works will take place on the westbound slip road on Thursday, November 9, from 7.30pm until 6am on Friday morning, in advance of future resurfacing works.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East network manager, said: “We thank road users and the local community in advance for their patience while we carry out this essential pavement investigation to allow us to carry out future resurfacing works.
“We’ll do all we can to complete the work as quickly and safely as possible.”
A signed diversion route will be in place via the M876 westbound, turning at Junction 2 via the A9 Stirling Rd and Glenbervie Roundabout, before returning along the M876 eastbound towards Kincardine Bridge and exiting at the Junction 3 Bowtrees eastbound off-slip.
This diversion will add approximately 8.5 miles and 10 minutes to affected journeys.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times and a consultation has been carried out with emergency services and other relevant stakeholders to make them aware of the plans in advance.
