A Tillicoultry woman has been sentenced for offences involving her neighbours and lasting several months.

Lynn Cumming, 46, of Frederick Street, appeared in the dock at Alloa Sheriff Court, where she represented herself, having been convicted of offences at a trial previously.

On December 10, 2021, at Frederick Street, she acted in an aggressive manner towards a woman, shouted and posted a letter through her door containing offensive remarks.

Then between January 1 and June 1 last year, at Frederick Street, she acted in aggressive manner towards another woman and a man, shouted, swore, made derogatory remarks and posted letters containing derogatory comments and abusive language through their door.

Sheriff Neil Bowie told Cumming: “This was way beyond a stairhead rammy. Why you did it is not known. Whether it’s because of alcohol or mental health issues, my concern is to make sure there is no repeat of this.”

Sheriff Bowie imposed a community payback order with 18 months of supervision and a non-harassment for three years.
