An Alloa man got into a struggle after brandishing a Rambo-style knife in someone’s home.

Alexander Neil, 34, of Hillview Avenue, appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on May 2 at Maple Court, Alloa, he brandished a knife and engaged in a struggle with a man.

Depute fiscal Sean Iles said Neil had gone to a house where two other males were having a drink.

Neil was sitting talking to them when he produced a “Rambo knife”. He was showing it off then began brandishing it towards them. There was then a struggle as one of the men took the knife from Neil.

Defence solicitor Corrine Wilson said: “His mental health was low and he’s extremely remorseful.”

Sheriff Garry Sutherland imposed a community payback order with 90 hours of unpaid work and 12 months of supervision.
