TULLIBODY got into the festive spirit as they held their annual Christmas lights switch on event.

The 2023 event, held each year by Light Up Tullibody, drew in a big crowd who enjoyed a range of entertainment and performances before the big switch on.

Santa arrived and surprised all the children, including five lucky primary school pupils who joined him on stage to welcome Christmas to the town.

Entertainment was provided to members of the public by many local talents including Lacey Armitage, Sarah Monteith-Skelton and Leona Hens, to name a few.

Dance acts were also performed by HappyDays Performing Arts and Dualstar Dance Centre.

Michele Donegan, treasurer for Light Up Tullibody, was delighted with the turnout for the event and thanked the people of Tullibody for making the night special.

“It all went really well,” she told the Advertiser. “We had a really good turnout, I was really pleased with the crowd.

“We had Great entertainment from start to finish, plenty singers and dancers and all the stalls that we booked had a great turnout so there was a real buzz about Tron Court.

“We finished off by switching on the lights. “One child from each of the five primary schools in Tullibody did the actual switch on with Santa which was really nice.

“The entertainment stalls were well received. Thanks to Gemma Drysdale at the Tron Café for providing food for the events.

“Thanks to everyone who braved the cold and came out to join us.”
