CETERIS has been announced as a finalist at the Scottish Property Awards 2024 for their work in an Alloa property.

The business became a finalist in the ESG Refurbishment of the Year category at the awards show, with their regeneration of Hilton House in Alloa singled out.

Ceteris began their refurbishment of Hilton House in 2022, putting in £350,000 to install solar panels, upgrade kitchen and bathroom facilities and install electric vehicle charging points among other improvements.

Karen Bathie, operations director at Ceteris, said: “We are honoured to be recognised as a finalist for the ESG Refurbishment of the Year.

“This acknowledgement is a testament to our team’s dedication to pioneering sustainable solutions and driving positive change in our community and beyond.”

The Hilton House building is currently home to Scottish Autism, who lease the building from Ceteris to provide care to people with additional support needs.

This refurbishment forms part of Ceteris’ pledge to halving emissions by 2030 and achieving net zero by 2045.

This commitment to net zero also meets the criteria for the ESG Refurbishment of the Year, which is a key part of Ceteris’ vision of making businesses happen.

Reducing carbon footprints and cutting down on emissions is a huge part of Ceteris’ new corporate strategy.

The winners of the Scottish Property Awards will be announced at a ceremony in Glasgow on February 29, 2024.
