A WEE COUNTY ballet school has been given the honour of Dance Studio of the Year at a national awards show.

Alloa Ballet Company was voted the top studio in partnership with SME News at the Scottish Enterprise Awards.

The school was granted the award last month, with principal Heather Shrimpton announcing the news at the start of the year.

She said: “In a year that has tested businesses across Scotland, it’s heartwarming to see our passion and dedication recognised.

“We’ve been dancing through challenges, innovating in dance, and striving to make a difference and my heart bursts with pride that our very own Alloa Ballet Company has been recognised for our work.

“We’re proud to stand among a diverse selection of businesses making waves in their respective industries, all contributing to the vibrant success story of Scotland.

“A huge thank you to SME News for this incredible honour. We’re committed to continuing our journey of innovation, excellence, and dedication in providing the best and most outstanding dance experience to all our dancers and their families.

“Here’s to a fantastic 2024 ahead, filled with more dance, creativity and memorable moments.”

To celebrate the new year, Alloa Ballet Company are currently offering a deal on their dance classes.

The dance class mega deal will allow parents to purchase a whole month of dance classes for just £15, allowing their child to partake in a wide range of classes and tutoring to find the one that works for them.
