A Tullibody man has been jailed for headbutting a police officer after being arrested.
Craig Mills, 29, of Alloa Road, appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on September 3 at his home and at Falkirk police station he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner and made a threat. At Falkirk police station he assaulted a police officer by headbutting him.
The court heard Mills was already on a community payback order for previous offending.
Defence solicitor Ruairidh Hood said: “He had been drinking with his sister and fell out with her partner. He was assaulted and called the police but they said they couldn’t do anything and he became very upset.”
He added that his client’s offending was connected to his drugs misuse.
Sheriff Neil Bowie jailed Mills for 180 days.
