A 23-year-old man who attacked his pregnant partner is behind bars two years after the assault.

Jack Logan, of Kippen Place, Sauchie, appeared back at Alloa Sheriff Court for breaching various orders.

He previously admitted that on 29th January 2022 at his home he assaulted his partner, who was then pregnant, seized her by the hair, dragged her by the hair, pulled her from the bed causing her to strike her head, covered her with a duvet and prevented her from summoning assistance, all to her injury.

Depute fiscal Rachel Wallace previously told the court: “There had been an argument between them.

"He became aggressive and grabbed her by the hair. He dragged her around the bed and she banged her head.

“He then put the duvet over her. She was screaming and he eventually got off her.

“She had a cut to her face and a lump on the side of her head.”

Logan, also known as Lovell, also admitted that on 25th March last year at Paterson Place, Tullibody, he breached bail conditions by contacting his partner.

He also appeared again in connection with assaults committed on 17th April 2021.

At Ochil Terrace, Tullibody, he assaulted a 15-year-old boy by headbutting him to his injury.

He also assaulted a 17-year-old youth by striking him on the head with a glass bottle to his injury and permanent disfigurement.

By breaching court orders, Logan landed himself in more trouble.

The sentencing had been deferred for social work reports but he had failed to turn up for appointments.

Sheriff Neil Bowie deferred sentence again until 28th February and Logan was remanded in custody.
