A 24-year-old man has been jailed for damaging property in his partner’s garden when he “blacked out” having taken drink and drugs.
Jordan Kelly, 24, currently a prisoner, appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court by video-link from jail.
He admitted that on November 1 at an address in Tullibody, he smashed an outdoor table.
Depute fiscal Sean Iles said Kelly’s partner had contacted the police after returning home to find her garden had been vandalised.
When the police tracked down Kelly, he told them: “She phoned me last night and told me I’d trashed her garden.
"I apologise for that. I just blacked out.”
Defence solicitor Charlotte Watt said: “He was intoxicated on a cocktail of alcohol and Valium. He blacked out and is very apologetic.”
Kelly is currently in prison for unrelated matters.
Sheriff Neil Bowie imposed a 60-day jail term.
