THE demolition of Gaberston House is now fully underway, making way for supported living flats.
Gaberston, formerly located on Whins Road, Alloa, served as a mental health care home, providing top support for those they care for.
As reported by the Advertiser, Gaberston House recently received top marks in a report by the Care Inspectorate, praising the service for its relationships with people in their care.
Clackmannanshire Council approved plans for a redevelopment of the site, which will see the old building knocked down and replaced with purposed built supported living flats.
John Macdonald, head of mental health service at CrossReach, said: "We're really proud to serve Alloa and we're always looking to improve our service.
"As a result, we will be rebuilding our premises on Whins Road this year. In the coming months, we will be looking to recruit new staff to join our brilliant team."
