A woman attacked a car with a hammer then assaulted the driver.

The 32-year-old woman, who can't be named for legal reasons, appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court for sentencing. She admitted that on December 3, 2022, in Tillicoultry, she damaged property by smashing the windscreen of a car.

She also assaulted a woman by seizing her by the hair.

Depute fiscal Mandy Jones said the incident took place at around 7.30pm.

The victim was in her car when the woman appeared, holding a hammer and hit the windscreen with it.

She then opened the car door and grabbed the woman before being pulled away.

Sentence had been deferred for the woman to stay of further trouble, which she did.

Defence solicitor Kelly Howe said: “This seems to have been an isolated incident.”

She added that the woman is currently at college training to be a paramedic.

Sheriff Neil Bowie fined her £370.
