A MAN has been arrested in connection with an "isolated incident" in Alva yesterday evening.

Reports came in of police attending a property in Alva, wherein a 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with the matter on Monday, February 26.

Police confirmed to the Advertiser that this was an isolated incident and that there is no further risk to the wider community.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “On the afternoon of Monday, February 26, 2024, officers from Police Scotland attended a property in the Alva area at the request of Surrey Police, following a report of concern for a man.

“Local officers attended, with the assistance of specialist colleagues, and the man was traced safely.

“A second man, aged 37, has been arrested in connection with the matter. This was an isolated incident and there was no risk to the community.”
