A 21-year-old man shouted abuse and caused a drunken incident after falling out with his partner.

Conlan McEwan, of Hallpark, Sauchie, appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on January 28 at Hallpark, he shouted, swore, acted aggressively, repeatedly struck a door and window, then made threats of violence towards police officers.

Depute fiscal Sean Iles said the couple had been in a relationship and lived close to each other at a homeless accommodation centre.

McEwan was observed shouting abusive names and then was caught on security cameras kicking a door with his heel.

He continued the disturbance, striking a door and window, resulting in the police being contacted.

Defence solicitor Kelly Howe said: “They had been together for six months.

"They had fallen out the night before and he had consumed a significant amount of alcohol. He presents as immature for his age.”

Sheriff Garry Sutherland told McEwan, “This was pretty unpleasant.” He imposed a community payback order with 40 hours of unpaid work.
