A 40-year-old man was caught trying to smuggle a SIM card into Glenochil prison.
The culprit was Osman Gharib, of Devon Crescent, Glasgow, who appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court with a translator.
He was previously convicted after a trial.
He was found guilty of an offence that on September 13, 2022 at HMP Glenochil, he attempted to take a SIM card into the prison.
He wrapped it in a piece of paper and attempted to conceal it in a bag of money to take to a prisoner there.
Sentence had been deferred for good behaviour and as he stayed out of further trouble, Sheriff Garry Sutherland admonished him.
