FINALLY, the winners of the Weekender Awards 2023 can be revealed, with seven different winners across eight categories.

Brownbear has joined the ranks of artists to bring home more than one award from a single year, with Fatherson, Megan Black, Plasticine, Abigail Pryde, Matthew Hall and BETA WAVES also winning in 2023.

Iain Smith, editor of The Weekender, said: "Again, we expanded our categories for 2023 - making this the biggest awards we have had. I am so thrilled we are able to recognise, more and more, the incredible emerging talent Scotland has.

"The feedback from the judges was, once again, very positive. There were many a hard choices to be made as so many entries could easily have walked away with the win.

"Thanks, of course, to our sponsors who helped make this viable this. And a special thanks to all those artists for what they have achieved in 2023. Here's to another fine year ahead."
