AN ALLOA pensioner was involved in a £7,500 housing benefits fraud.
Marjorie Mackay, 79, of Munro Place, was not present at Alloa Sheriff Court for sentencing for health reasons.
She previously admitted that between November 14, 2016, and May 1, 2019, she had made a false statement to officials of Clackmannan Council and obtained £7,544.30 in housing benefit to which she was not entitled.
The court told Mackay has been in hospital and suffering from ill health recently.
Sheriff Garry Sutherland deferred sentencing further until July 11 for further inquiries.
