POLICE have taken action over illegal parking in Alloa school as pupils return to the classroom after the summer holidays.
On social media, officers highlighted that the Community Policing Team has patrolled around Sunnyside PS to ensure children can get to and from school safely.
An online statement said: “We find ourselves again having to issue fixed penalty notices to vehicles of parents/guardians, dropping children off at school.
“The zig zags and markings around the school gates are there to ensure this area is kept sterile of vehicles, so the children can get to school safely, without being obstructed [or] endangered by inconsiderate parking.”

Concerns around parking near the Alloa school have been raised previously.
In 2020, officials said steps were being taken to address issues at Sunnyside as some feared it was only a matter of time before an injury or worse occurs.
A year later, an anonymous account was created on then Twitter to post pictures of cars parked in prohibited areas near the school.
And as reported in June this year, police took action to enforce "inconsiderate and dangerous parking" around the school.
Warning motorists this week, officers added on social media: “It takes a matter of seconds to park safely [and] legally and walk the last part to the school gates.
“This is to keep your children safe. Heed the restrictions.”
